South Chilcotin Mountains Provincial Park
Large remote wilderness park
The 57,000 hectare South Chilcotins Mountains Provincial Park is vast, remote and hard to access.
The South Chilcotin Mountains Plan was a high priority requirement for BC Parks – they needed a complete user, trail, signage, dock and campground inventory, a Bear Hazard risk assessment and Archaeological Overview to implement a Park plan, something lacking since the area gained protection in 2001, and increasingly urgent as recreation demands in the area blow up.
TBL led a team including Cascade Environmental Resource Group and Antiquus Archaeological Consultants Ltd. on this project winning a CSLA National Award.
This project won a Canadian Society of Landscape Architects National Award. 'Amazing multi-disciplinary work on a monumental undertaking'.
