  • South Chilcotin Mountains Provincial Park - CSLA National Award

    “Amazing multi-disciplinary work on a monumental undertaking” CSLA Jury 2017


    TBL led a complete user, trail, signage, and campground inventory, Bear Hazard risk assessment and Archaeological overview in the large remote wilderness park, garnering a National Award of Excellence from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects.

  • Campbell River, BC - Award of Excellence in Policy Planning (Small Town & Rural Areas)

    Honouring the best in professional planing work in the province, the Planning Institute of British Columbia singled out the City of Campbell River in 2017 for Excellence in Policy Planning (Small Town & Rural Areas).

    TBL provided technical expertise, producing detailed street designs, and assisting with document formatting. More information here.

  • Lighting Award - Whistler Skier's Plaza Carleton Lodge

    The role of outdoor lighting was critical to the success of an upgrade to Whistler's Skier Plaza and Carleton Lodge. Viewed by thousand of users daily the lighting creates a special atmosphere. The Illuminating Engineer Society of North America awarded Tom Barratt Ltd. an Award of Merit.

  • Vancouver 2010 Olympic Bid - CSLA National Honours Award

    Highest level National Award recognized involvement in the Olympic Bid from site selection to coordinating project teams, budgets, venue designs and developing bid book graphics. TBL was responsible for all maps and snow venue graphics in the Bid Book. More information: poster

  • Black's Patio, Whistler Skier Plaza - CSLA Regional Citation

    A collaboration with artist Robert Studer resulted in an intriguing work of landscape art that interprets the local mountain landscape geological events. More information: here


  • Green Necklace Greenway - CSLA Regional Citation

    The Green Necklace Communications + Marketing project - award shared with the City of North Vancouver. Public involvement and communication tool for 7km urban greenway used 3D animation, logo branding, web site, narrated video. More information: here
